(It doesn’t help that said kid is 103 lbs & over 4.5 feet at 8 years old and built like a garage refrigerator)

Tonight in parenting:

The toothless wonder productively struggles with the ‘th’ and ‘ff’ sounds as he and Dad read “If You Give a Pig a Pancake.”

It’s the hardest thing. And the best thing.

(This applies to parenting. And teaching.)

The @eactl.bsky.social team has been w/ @flintk12.bsky.social from the start. They’re building AI that adds friction—the good kind that deepens thinking & helps teachers see learning more clearly. The tool’s evolved fast, the team listens deeply, & it’s been a privilege to collaborate along the way.
Education has promised personalization for decades.

We’re making it real.

Flint raised $15M in Series A funding (co-led by Basis Set Ventures & Patron) to bring AI-powered personalized learning to every classroom.

Every student deserves learning made for them.

Well-reasoned article on how to think about K-12 classroom assessment (higher ed to some degree) given #GenAI. Much to like here, including the authors' sober approach, detailing of history, and focus on promoting "assessment with integrity in the face of AI." #PsychSciSky #AcademicSky #EduSky

It’s Rivalry Week at EA — a reminder that the best performances, on the field or in the classroom, come from preparation and care. Good coaching and good teaching share the same playbook: clear goals, calm under pressure, and care for the people doing the work. 🏅 #RivalryWeek #WDYNWednesday

Major voting issue in Downingtown (Chester County) PA where they’ve printed the primary book and not the general election book. So all unaffiliated voters need to complete a provisional ballot, per the poll workers.
