HOA was cutting down a suffering Bradford pear last week and I talked the guy into letting me have most of the stem. Gotta cut it into bowl blanks and get it out of the middle of my garage

Just some skew practice on a piece of gnarly Osage orange from the firewood pile.

Cutting some band instrument ornaments for a collab with my niece.

Sorted through my firewood pile, because there's always a few gems that make good turning blanks. One of the pieces I found was some beautifully figured maple. I only got four 2*2*8" blanks milled from it, but I used one of them to make this honey dipper, fresh out of its mineral oil bath.

Cut a bunch of whisky smokers on the CNC today. Dipped in mineral oil and drip-drying

Productive day in the shop. While the pumpkin trays were being cut by the CNC router, I turned some black walnut spatulas on the lathe.

The tray material is a layered bamboo product called BamX that I wanted to try out. The two-tone look really adds some interest.

This half-finished bowl has been sitting my lathe looking pathetic for probably close to 6 months. It's about time I did something about it. First off...gotta fill that crack with epoxy.

Final version of the cocktail smoker with generic cocktail image etched into the lid. Should be fairly easy to personalize. Have only done two so far, but the design is pretty set now and I should be able to make more on demand. This is red oak, which is what I had on hand.

Cocktail smoker prototype #2. Adjusted the lid cut for a better fit, made the well for the shavings a little bigger and enlarged the through hole just a tad. Made a Manhattan. Would have done an Old Fashioned, but didn't have an orange

Plywood prototype of a cocktail smoker. I need a less crappy torch. It was either this or a plumbing torch, which I think would've been a bit much
