A 5 points increase for Albania (from 37 to 24), during 2024.

Improvement of the situation, because the Special Structure against Corruption and Organized Crime (SPAK) has gained the trust of citizens after convicting former ministers, MPs and mayors.

🚨 A court in Berlin has ruled that X needs to hand over publicly available data (such as the reach, shares and likes on posts) to two German NGOs so they can analyze it for “attempts to manipulate the upcoming elections” — a big deal, especially considering Musk’s support for the far-right AfD.
We took X to court. And we won! ⚖️

The courts ruled that X must urgently grant us access to their publicly available data via their API. This access is critical for our analysis of online public discourse ahead of the upcoming German elections.

Jacques Delors has died, and while most people will remember him for other accomplishments, I can't help but think of his attempts to have Yugoslavia join the EEC as a full-fledged member — sadly, just a little too late.

My op-ed for Euronews:
Delors advocated for peace in Europe, and others should too
While Delors’ little-known Yugoslavia episode was overshadowed by the atrocities of the 1990s conflict, he left us a lasting lesson on how European unity could — or should try to — prevent viole...
