The hemp will find a way! This volunteer came from our compost used in my soil. It is such an inspiration for this seed to have survived sterilization at temperatures of 180°F. When circumstances of the climate are determined to destroy, your resilience will sustain you until you are able to thrive.

The last set of seeds for this growing season are in! I am most excited for the Badger G lineage, which was created with gene editing! The technique used is considered non-GMO, and can create stable genetics in fewer generations versus selective breeding.

Ark Rider was our only heavy Sativa strain this year. You can easily see the difference training has on yeilds. While the breeder did not list profile notes, I believe it has a floral profile with gas and hints of lemon.

Did you know anthocyanins are PH reactive? This tea made from purple cannabis leaves displays a deep purple that appears almost black in a neutral ph. Adding a little acid from lemon juice turns it a deep red. A base displays blue+green, but is not tasty.

When the growing season is over for the hemp farm, it's time to run my indoor personal medical grow. Here are 2 from last year that I ran for a breeder.
Headspace × Black Congo at 26% and Orange Cookies x Chocolate Diesel at 28%

Red Bordeaux by High Grade hemp was our only 'late' photoperiod strain. It has a light aroma that the breeder describes as "overtones of fresh cut strawberries and crushed lavender with hints of cherry and gasoline".

Red Bordeaux was a great example of the importance of selecting strains for your growing zone. Even though we employed a shaded planting to initiate flowering earlier, we still had variance in floral maturity.
