It only recently occurred to me that 9/11 jokes carry this baggage. I used to see it as pure shock value, which is obviously common online. But 9/11 jokes are also a nod to the fact that average Americans have no power, so what harm can nihilist memes do? We marched, we spoke up, nothing changed.

I really did not know until now that I was still carrying so much PTSD from protesting the Iraq War ever single day with many, many other people and being utterly ignored and apparently now also written out of history?

It is not anti-Israeli to condemn Benjamin Netanyahu. It is, in fact, pro-democracy and pro-peace to do so.
