In dem Gutachten steht "...all States are under an obligation (...)not to render aid or assistance in maintaining the situation created by the continued presence of the State of Israel in the Occupied Palestinian Territory." Deutschland unterstützt die illegale Besatzung im direkten Gegensatz dazu.
In der UN Generalversammlung hatte Deutschland gegen die Beauftragung des höchsten Weltgerichts gestimmt. Das Gutachten kam trotzdem. Die Bundesregierung äußerte vor mehr als 7 Monaten, sie werde es sorgfältig prüfen.
