most of the much-discussed topics of interest on here can be boiled down to basic human rapacity... for comfort, pleasure, security, and distraction

Surely, it's a long-standing Republican Party tradition to call for your political opponents to be hanged, established as precedent by Abraham Lincoln.

No?

This is your annual reminder that all the people complaining about it getting dark at 5:30 because of DST think it would be fine if it was still dark at 8 am

So funny how many times on this site I post a comment that gets zero engagement and 3 days later see the same sentiment phrased differently by someone else that gets 3k likes 😅

It's always shocking how fast Congress can pass legislation when they're allowed to and everyone's watching.

In April 2009, the Washington Post asked 10 writers to make the case for something that deserves to be tossed out as part of "spring cleaning."

I chose Larry Summers.

See that Rolex clock and gold bar?

It looks like those Swiss gifts paid off.

Trump cut tariffs on Swiss goods — like luxury watches — from 39% to 15%.

While Trump’s tariffs increase prices for Americans, billionaire CEOs and foreign companies sucking up to Trump get relief.

In today's political climate, conflict is everywhere, and sometimes it seems like there's no end in sight.

One way I deal with the madness is by listening to music. So to help spread the love, I've written a list of songs that help me when things are tough.

If Trump goes to war with Venezuela to cover up his pedophilia, I'm sure it will work out great for everyone involved, but especially him.

this dweeb doesn't even seem to be a US citizen. He's a student from the UK. hard to prove from the evidence online that he's not naturalized. (even then the below would be pretty rich). But he seems to be some posh brit here on a student visa.
According to the car wash owner, agents arrested employees before they could obtain their documentation from their work lockers. So many were likely here legally.

Here's hoping this article on Zac boasting about how he ruined some immigrants' lives follows him around for a very long time.

@cdadamjardy.bsky.social I don't know, I was feeling pretty confident about this roster before the season started, but now between the defensive lapses, turnovers, sloppy play, and knowing their shooting can go ice cold, I'm nervous about upcoming opponents. Like Sunday. But I'll be there to watch!

I'm not sure which side of the debate on the Senate Dems who voted to end the shutdown Just Jack is taking. 🤔
If you think the people throwing Great Gatsby-esque parties for themselves, while millions were denied their food assistance, are all of a sudden going to grow a conscience and save affordable healthcare, you clearly have not been paying attention.

That's not true. So can we not help Republicans spin it like it is?
