Thinking about this more and seeing another related news item… *if* the court is actually going to find a way to give Adams what he deserves, I can see the argument for Hochul staying out of it to make it harder to portray as simple partisan politics

I’m not super well-informed on this issue so there are various caveats.
But taking the concept that she has clear-cut legal authority to do it at face value, she should use it and make a forceful statement as to why. He sold major NYC policy decisions to save his own skin!
