On one hand, Sacramento to SF high-speed rail would be so freaking cool. On the other hand, my rent has already nearly doubled in the past couple of years.
It's a shame that California high-speed rail didn't start as a 30 minute connection from downtown Sacramento to downtown San Francisco. It would have been transformative for both cities, and a proof of concept for the entire state.
