My first year writing students do often enjoy it.
I love @alexanderchee.bsky.social's Bibliomancy assignment — such a great way to encourage exploration of the library, to help students appreciate the value of curiosity and magic of serendipity. I cld see this being ⭐ for first-year composition classes.

If I needed to hear this v badly, others might, too.
The most important thing in writing is to finish. A finished thing can be fixed. A finished thing can be published. A finished thing can be made into a movie.

An unfinished thing is just a dream. And dreams fade if you don't hold on tight enough.

So finish the thing.

They fight for the fetus because the fetus doesn’t ask anything of them. The moment the fetus becomes a baby they will do everything they can to cut the programs that feed the child, clothe the child and educate the child. And the mother will be labeled a “Welfare Queen” the moment she seeks help!
