It took twice- to thrice-weekly visits to the doctor for 2 months and 3 rounds of oral antibiotics, for the wound sustained on July 4th to be almost healed. As a bonus, I have developed a contact dermatitis likely due to the ointments used in the wound dressing. Can’t wait to be over.

Nice Sunday on the lost coast by cape Mendocino with Flavio. This is the location of the triple junction where the pacific, North America and Gorda plates meet. Off shore to the west is the mendocino fracture zone where most of our local earthquakes originates.

We have to stop playing with different rules than the fascist Republican Party. Ideals are great but meaningless if Congress stays under fascist Republican control in 2026 and the current inept, cruel, violent, inhumane, authoritarian, and despicable administration’s agenda is allowed to continue.

On July 4th, I was at the emergency room after a finger was cut by a miter saw. Thankfully, it didn’t go deeper. ER was great, insurance is not so much: delayed antibiotics start by 3 days and still waiting for hand specialist referral approval. First Pic taken July 4 and second July 12
