Zootopia 2 is a phenomenal sequel that is as fun, exciting, and thematically relevant as its predecessor. Love the new characters, the bigger world, and the new banger from Gazelle. My review:

Review: Zootopia 2 is a fang-tastic squeak-quel (and is full of such animal puns)

I hope I'm the only person who ever suffers through Dream On / Dream Off, the worst "movie" (hour of AI slop) I've ever seen. It doesn't deserve to be called animation, or a movie, or to ever be spoken about at all. My review of this garbage:

Review: Dream On / Dream Off is soulless AI slop, not even worthy of being called a movie

All Operators are Currently Unavailable is the strangest of the Oscar-eligible animated features, burying its protagonist in layers of unreality to the delight and consternation of the viewer. A thrill! My review:

Review: All Operators are Currently Unavailable might break your brain (in the best way possible)
I would say that most of the time, when I sit down to write a review, I have a pretty decent idea of what I'm going to write. When I started...

The West is as wild as ever in Bill Plympton's latest, the rough-and-tumble musical Slide, which opens in NYC next week for its Oscar-qualifying run. My review:

Review: Bill Plympton makes the west extra wild in free-wheeling Slide
Yes, there's a cowboy and a saloon and lots of gunslingin' in Bill Plympton's latest feature, Slide , but it is anything but your typical we...

In Your Dreams, hitting Netflix tomorrow, is a lively, emotional adventure that really gets what it's like to be a kid (and a sibling). It made me laugh a lot, and cry almost as much. My review:

Review: In Your Dreams is anything but a snooze-fest

More than 500 animators came together to breathe new life into Disney's not-so-classic Chicken Little. The results are wild, silly, and pretty fun. My review of Chicken Little: Rehatched!
