My bet is that it's a magical version of an "if/then" statement in Javascript:

Does this make the "Beyond20" extension obsolete?
How will this affect current character sheets?

Is it the usual suspects?
What are they crying about now?
Non-evil orcs and drow? Combat wheelchairs? "woke" D&D? How WOTC is "ruining" their favorite game?

The ones I spend more than a few minutes on have the "right" (for me) combo of player charisma/investment, creativity, compelling stories and legit charisma between the players/DM.
Diversity, while nice, doesn't really carry the load (for me) if the story is boring.

I feel like the "lagging" part is "finding time to advertise" and getting the word out.
Can't have viewers if no one knows your game is running, y'know? 😊

My mindset has always been "I'm playing D&D with my friends, and we're just happening to stream it."
I just run my game (and try to make it look pretty with designed overlays, graphic elements and visual aids/maps).
I don't really follow many other shows... I tried to watch a few but no free time.

Man I'd LOVE "a few hundred" viewers.
Anyone got any tips on how to "work extra hard to stand out" over and above what I'm already doing? LOL

Don't get me wrong, diversity is amazing, and I count myself privileged to have a very diverse friend group that I assembled over the past couple of years for my own AP... but some groups are just 'a group of friends playing D&D' and might not have had the inclination to "break up the band". 🤷

Serious question - assuming they're just a group of friends that have been playing together already for years and decided to run their game on a stream... what is your suggestion to them as to how they should break up their group to diversify for the screen?
