Not sure I understand how, but the Penguins are closer to a playoff spot than to the bottom of the conference.

Why wait until January 20? What’s stopping them from doing it today, or yesterday, or weeks ago?
They will halt on January 20, 2025 when Trump takes office, noting the “threat to democracy and freedom of expression posed by the cooperation between the president of the most powerful country in the world, Donald J. Trump, and the richest man in the world, Elon Musk…”

Tomorrow at pens.hockey:

Gameday 24: Oh Yeah, It’s All Falling Apart

The Penguins are getting busy dying, but may still get to Zihuatanejo afterwards anyway.

I just remembered that my PC is generally comparable to the Steam Deck, so there’s nothing to stop me from playing games on the PC. Kind of a silly oversight on my part!

Started a new save of Stardew Valley on the Deck, and a new save of Animal Well on PC. Very different vibes.

I for one am glad we have decided to fast-forward to the year 2099, so much less drama to have to deal with

I hate that we have to keep paying attention to the Pittsburgh Penguins until April. 59 more games of misery. They’re awful. It’s going to be a long winter.

You’d have to be naïve to put any hope in the Pittsburgh Penguins. They are not a serious hockey team. I don’t think Kyle Dubas wants them to be a serious hockey team. They are investing in the future, and losing hockey games is (unfortunately) the best way to make that investment.

Tomorrow at pens.hockey:

Gameday 22 and 23: *Squish*, Just Like Grape

Three-quarters of the regular season still remain, so time is still on the side of the Pittsburgh Penguins. However, the longer they linger in the middle of the road, the more dangerous it becomes.

The most insulting part about Matt Gaetz withdrawing from consideration as Attorney General is seeing how many Republicans in Congress calling the situation a “distraction.”

If your attorney general nominee has the potential to be distracting, you might not have nominated the right guy.

Donald Trump wants to blow up our economy. Honestly, that sounds great! The economy stopped working for the average American decades ago.

A few problems though:

1.) the collateral damage from blowing up the economy will be the consumers. We won’t be able to afford most of the things we buy.

This year’s Pittsburgh Penguins are not to be taken seriously. They may have some serious moments, but any team with either the talent of patience enough will get their way 9 times out of 10. They need to rebuild, and the best way to do that is to not fight too hard.

As far as I can tell, Bluesky is missing three communities that I am looking for:

Pittsburgh Penguins, both official and fanbase
Weather forecasters (not meteorologists, people looking weeks out and driving up hype)
Pirates

I would love some feedback on the following question:

On a scale of 1 to 5, one being “very uncomfortable” and five being “very comfortable”, how is your economic comfort level right now?

My feeling is that the average person is at a two, and that’s what I feel for myself.
