I don't mind Apple picking Gemini for Siri. It is, perhaps, the safe bet? But I will say, all of the other AI companies; OpenAI, Anthropic, et. al are just so far ahead of both Apple and Google on UX and integrations that I think Apple partnering with one of the less-safe bets could have helped […]

Well done to @dansup Pixelfed has gotten very good. Seeing that the app hadn’t been updated in 4 months concerned me, but the iOS app is nice and snappy compared to the last time I used it.

Well done to @dansup Pixelfed has gotten very good. Seeing that the app hadn’t been updated in 4 months concerned me, but the iOS app is nice and snappy compared to the last time I used it.

Just recently, YouTube finally started recommending videos from the Wrong Side of the Lens channel. I've watched just two episodes so far and it is very good. I don't know why YouTube waited so long. If you're into #photography, check them out.

Comments from Mozilla's new CEO have brought up the topic of ad blocking. In 2023 I wrote about why I do not block ads but I do block ad tracking as best as I can.
