I’m sorry for your loss. We just said goodbye to our old man Gadget who got sick suddenly with probable cancer. He was my lap cat and very vocal, so while we have another cat at home, it seems so very quiet without him.

This morning I took an excursion to SFMOMA to see the Ruth Asawa retrospective. I thought seeing her works throughout decades was amazing.

The blue-eyed grass in my yard is looking lovely this week and has happily spread from last year. It's one of my favorite wildflowers 🌱

I took my kids to their first protest today, joining up with neighbors and some of their friends. People watching and checking out signs was fun. My youngest helped design ours.

My 12 year old helped me with our sign this morning. My kids got to go to their first protest today and enjoyed checking out signs and costumes.

I spent the weekend at one of our favorite National Parks. We have gone to Yosemite with our kids yearly since they were tiny. It's refreshing to get out for a few days in nature with family and friends.

Pictured are lemons and radishes from my back yard. I also picked enough Swiss chard and arugula to have for lunch. Gardening is an attempt at keeping sane and finding some bright spots in these dark times.
