Canadian Challenge Sled Dog Race
@ccsleddograce.bsky.social
Sled dog race in Northern Saskatchewan, Canada.
If we don't reach our minimum number of teams we will be unable to stage our 2026 Canadian Challenge. That's a whole 10 weeks away and we're confident that as the weather gets colder, we see some of the lovely white stuff, teams get into full on training modes and our race roster will fill up.

**** RACE PURSE AT $16,000 ****
We're delighted to confirm that our race purse is currently at $16,000. We currently have a deadline of January 01 2026 to ensure that we have our minimum number of 10 teams registered across our 3 races to enable us to host a viable week of racing.

He's recently taken the reins at Gatt Sleds, taking over from Hans Gatt, and is now building the legendary sled designs in his home in Sioux Lookout, Ontario. Jesse's a very experienced musher, having raced in the Caledonia 200, Can-AM, Beargrease and the YQuest 400 as well as the Challenge.
October 13, 2025 at 10:37 AM
Jesse is a favourite member of the Challenge family, having won several times at 300/200 mile distances with us. Known for his dog care excellence, Jesse is also a great role model for his family, and he describes his interests as 'family time, mushing, and back scratches from my wife'
October 13, 2025 at 10:37 AM
SO EXCITED TO WELCOME JESSE TERRY BACK TO THE CHALLENGE. We're so thrilled that Jesse is making time to run our 200 mile race in February, ahead of his rookie Iditarod run in early March. Thanks for choosing us once again Jesse, it'll be great to catch up with you and the team en route to Alaska.

A VERY WARM WELCOME TO JANE DEVLIN, RACING IN OUR 6-DOG RACE****
We're so excited to welcome Jane Devlin, from Bend, Central Oregon, USA as a Challenge rookie to our 6-dog 35/35 mile race.
A favourite quote of Jane's is 'Dogs save the people'!

The Morakniv knife has a back spine prepared to scrape a ferro rod in order to start a fire
The paracord on the axe matches the custom dyed axe mask
The axe handles are painted with an orange Hi Viz end, a black base and two stripes
