If we don't reach our minimum number of teams we will be unable to stage our 2026 Canadian Challenge. That's a whole 10 weeks away and we're confident that as the weather gets colder, we see some of the lovely white stuff, teams get into full on training modes and our race roster will fill up.

He's recently taken the reins at Gatt Sleds, taking over from Hans Gatt, and is now building the legendary sled designs in his home in Sioux Lookout, Ontario. Jesse's a very experienced musher, having raced in the Caledonia 200, Can-AM, Beargrease and the YQuest 400 as well as the Challenge.

Jesse is a favourite member of the Challenge family, having won several times at 300/200 mile distances with us. Known for his dog care excellence, Jesse is also a great role model for his family, and he describes his interests as 'family time, mushing, and back scratches from my wife'

She surrounds herself with dogs, loving dog powered sports, dog agility, as well as working as a dog trainer. Jane loves an active outdoors life, enjoying cross country skiing, mountain biking, kayaking, hiking and music. An experienced musher, Jane has competed many mid distance races.

Its a great prize.
Our winner last year said’ I was lucky enough to win this exact draw last winter and I was so happy to get it!
This axe now travels in my dog sled all winter and was most recently taken out on my fall moose hunts. I gave the survival gear to my son to add to his personal kit’ 😊👏

The axes were prepared by the Bear Lake Bushcraft Company, Cold Lake, Alberta, specifically for the Canadian Challenge.
