This quilt design is based on a similar block arrangement I learned in the Tara Faughnan block studies class last year.

My color palette is inspired by flowers.

Dear #quiltsky I have been to the depths of the solids scrap bins and, starting with a selection of strips, have created this arrangement.

It kept me from reading the news for hours upon hours! I was listening to audio books and sewing little pieces of fabric together.

Approx 65 x 55

I finished piecing together the 3 inch squares. It is about 62” x 57”

No plan other than orange and pink. Cut 3” squares and went from there.
Will I sew it up? Probably not, but it was a good way to keep my mind off of the country being kicked apart by a billionaire.

Someone suggested that the parents might not want to use the first quilt with a baby, so I made a second quilt for the baby. It is very utilitarian and can accept spills and numerous washings.

Dream Quilt
60” x 60”
Quarter log cabin blocks.

It is called dream Quilt because the colors came to me in a dream.
A 60 inch by 60 inch quilt made of four quarter log cabin blocks, two of which are lighter in value and two of which are darker in value. The colors are pinks, yellows, blues, and purples. The pairs of blocks are placed diagonally from each other.

One of my recent mini quilts. The Universe is Expanding. Approximately 5” square.
Machine pieced with hand appliqué and hand quilted, plus hand embroidery.

I obtained some bunny pajamas from an acquaintance, and sewed a patchwork together with a checkered shirt. Then I made a large bunny and added it to the quilt. Free motion quilting on my domestic.
