I received my first inquiry about what my resist pin means. They asked what I am resisting.
In Timothy Snyder’s book “on tyranny” he says to calmly resist evil.
So I told them I am resisting evil.
From their look it was not what they were expecting to hear. Lol.

I’m about to start cutting fabric for my next quilt. Cut, cut, sew, trim, sew, sew, sew, etc.

It turns out the dental hygienist who said my tooth was fine was completely wrong! And now I have to pay for and get a fucking root canal.

I’m adding another line of quilting to my quilt, for about half inch apart, straight-ish lines across the width. I might run out of the top thread and am thinking I should go to the quilt shop to find something suitable should that happen. Or I would have to order online and wait.

Dropped off canned food at the food pantry. There were lots of people getting food. Shelves were pretty full. The food bank got a 20k grant, the farmers market is fundraising to help cover food purchases, local restaurants are giving out food. It is heartening, but it all feels so dire.

Today I put away my small textile projects, and I basted two quilts and started quilting one of them.
I have an idea for my next quilt, and have to fine tune the design before I start cutting fabric.

Decided to retire my vintage dishes bought at the thrift shop years ago. I imagined that the lead was leaking out into my food. But the same manufacturer makes dishes without lead now, and I found them on sale at Macy’s and ordered some.

I wore a mask at quilt guild last night. Someone asked if I was sick. I said no. I said I don’t want to get sick. She giggled nervously and then said-oh you’ll be fine.

Decided to sew a sleeve on a recent quilt finish. Hopefully I can get a good picture of it soon. The weather has been not good for Quilt photos, and my indoor lighting is unacceptable.

Today I bought tamales from a new tamale stand down by the stop sign. Can’t wait to try them. We used to have a woman drive door to door with tamales, but she stopped coming. That was years ago.

I sometimes like it when the unsubscribe page has a comment section. I don’t know how they got my email address, but the DNC got a little rant from me about them not supporting trans folks and abortion rights enough. Also said they should be challenging the fascist administration.

I finished sewing the binding on my latest quilt. Now I have to get a photo of it. Hoping for some overcast skies, which makes the best light for quilt photos.
Meanwhile I will sort my scraps, tidy up the sewing space, and ponder my next project.
