Today's the All-Star Game but also the birthday of former #STLCards player (1962-1970) & broadcaster (1971-2021) Mike Shannon. Mike was the Voice of Summer for many fans over the decades, and we dearly miss him. Crack a cold, frosty one & raise it to the Moon Man tonight, friends. 🍺⚾️

What athlete's expression will stay with you for the rest of your life?
The 2011 NLCS, a mostly forgotten series in between the memorable NLDS against the Phillies and of course that incredible World Series. A means to the championship trophy end!
5000 days ago (October 16, 2011), the Cardinals win their 18th National League pennant with a 12-6 win over Milwaukee in NLCS Game Six. Series MVP David Freese (.545/.600/1.291) hits his third homer of the NLCS. Freese had an incredible October 2011.
