Each of Norway's 5.5 million inhabitants has a theoretical $300,000+ stake in the country's $1.8 trillion Oil Fund. But what would they actually like to do with it? Who should decide that? And how?

Interesting paper.
In the eyes of many citizens, democracy fails to meet its promises. In a new paper just published in Res Publica, Armin Schäfer and I argue that deliberative responsiveness constitutes a promise representative democracy can and should fulfill.

Good to see DemNext founder Claudia Chwalisz on Bluesky!

Interesting paper on local engagement in AI governance. I'm generally a bit skeptical of engagement without power/control & would like to hear more on the procedures that can vest control on such global/transversal issues at the local level.
🔎 As the Paris AI Action Summit approaches, the spotlight turns to the question: How do we govern AI responsibly?
