This was my first time seeing the film with an audience, which made a huge difference. Big laughs on the "you play with your balls" line. That final gut punch played to real tears near me: "I uh... I don't have a home. Marie's been dead for eight years." Del's plight plays bigger today.

I had been in my seat for about twenty minutes when I twigged that the building had once been the Oregon Theater, one of Portland's two adult cinemas. (Hadn't been inside prior, merely passed by.) The renovation has been thorough and the environment is now colorful and bright.

Asked Myers in the Q&A about Candy's desire to play more dramatic roles. Audience seemed stunned to learn he had been offered the Winston Wolf character in Pulp Fiction, amongst other roles. He's a generous, enthusiastic guy.
