Two years working with #proxmox now, and PCIe pass-through is still an adventure every time. I absolutely could not get my ASUS Z890 mobo working reliably and stably with my nVIDIA cards or even USB controller. No two machines have the same kernel parameters.

Training my first LORA for FLUX on one of my GPU equipped proxmox nodes. It’s pulling 800W so I guess I’m well out of the low-power server zone now! #proxmox #selfhosted #homelab

Why is nobody talking about the boodbath of layoffs in tech? I personally know or have heard about dozens of layoffs. For every job I apply for, LinkedIn reports there are more than 100 applicants. These are not all AI related job losses. Someone needs to do an analysis. #layoffs #techjobs

I'm starting to plan how to backup some SMB shares using Proxmox Backup Server. I can mount the shares, and do the backup using the client, but has anyone got a good set of scripts to do file-level backups? I don't want to reinvent the wheel. #proxmox #selfhosting

Oops, one of the junk hard disks I bought a few weeks ago just breathed its last. Bought a lot of 12 don't-care SAS disks on the cheap, so not crying about it. First actual use of RAIDZ3! #homelab #selfhost

Let’s be honest - bluesky on an iPad is rather poor. #noeffort. It’s not 2010 anymore, they can do much better!

Back from Salt Lake City this week - I'm not sure I got the full experience of SLC, but my first impressions were very mixed.
