Barilla does make a lot of the fancy shapes, but they aren't stocked everywhere. We got almost all the numbered shapes in Philly (in a heavily Italian neighborhood), and can do that in Chicago at one of our Italian grocers. So, you can probably hunt the same stuff down.

Yup. And I know there are some large format bins like this for garbage in Paris. I mostly saw them in parks (but not exclusively) when I was there a few years ago.

I suspect because garbage is collected daily. But, yeah, more centralized pickup would probably be more efficient, but maybe not with residential street widths.

Been there, it’s rough. I know it’s hard but you have to think they know what you’re doing for them is out of love.

Sitting in front of a mic, listening to the hum from an HVAC system coming through the headphones, is maybe one of the more infuriating sounds ever.

I sorta wonder if this is a Prop 13 thing. Cash-strapped school districts might want to teach a less complicated curriculum because it's cheaper. Bill Fischel would probably disagree with me. www.journals.uchicago.edu/doi/abs/10.1...
