Maybe I'll be a little more vocal here than the *other place*. Irish in Sheffield UK, with interests in all sorts of random stuff.
Agree. The desire to have the arc run in real time is a good trick for building tension, and worked for the first part, but repeating that trick twice obviously has diminishing returns.

Yes, odd and disappointing not to add anything fresh -particularly to the third part.

The open ending is fine, I think, but replaying the same events over without adding any fresh perspectives does deflate the tension.

I'm curious as to what people thought of the holes (as I saw them) in the plot: the unquestioned need to respond immediately without knowing who attacked; the absolute lack of reference to Nato/ allies.
The first two thirds were, I thought, good and tense but the final third felt incomplete.

My stats are currently still visible, but had an issue for about 5 days where the image wouldn't load. Eventually it worked, so hopefully your stats will come back too.

A colleague of mine in Dublin in about 2005 popped out to get something for lunch and came back 45 minutes later with a mortgage she got on a whim.

Light by M. John Harrison is an odd but very enjoyable sci-fi.

Incredible to think that what's following Russia and Qatar will somehow be worse.

I also really appreciate how they go "oh, you scrolled to the Documentary section, cool, here's all the documentaries by Stacey Dooley and no others".

As someone who goes to a lot of football games, where some aggro (even among one's own fan group) is not uncommon, it seems like vaping is currently the #1 cause of low-key conflict. I feel like a clamp down might be coming, even necessary.

I'm not quite sure what happened there... I think we're all violently agreeing with each other.

Not exactly the insightful answer I hoped for, but sadly the answer I expected. Have a block for your trouble.

The thing that marks GCs out as extremist (apart from their horrible views), is their inability to accept 'yes' for answer. Never enough to adopt their views, one must also apologise for impure previous thoughts.

I had read stuff that described it as almost seismic. But it's this: just madly great in an 80s way (and more power to it).

Hopefully Season 2 will be about how Ruth's daughter's baby goes on to lead the resistance against Skynet.
