2. I reject the belief that the purpose, value, and worth of my earthly sojourn is defined by a maximally time-efficient life. I don’t think of “wasted time” as a personal failure on some scale of productivity. It’s simply how my life went based on my beliefs, actions, and circumstances at the time.

2 things for me: 1. All experiences have something to teach. Even e.g. “I diligently gave myself to a job/relationship/situation for a decade and got nothing” Ok, why did I think I’d get XYZ result, and why’d I get ABC result instead? Did my values change? Was there something I didn’t yet know? etc

if by “radically with its own voice” the book means e.g. “interpreting Paul in light of careful scholarship and sober reasoning rather than defaulting to a particular tradition’s view” that’s fine. Though I’d still disagree that that can be described as the radically singular voice of a text.
