I agree to an extent but the fact is people got what they voted for and it's misplaced optimism to think if only people would've known they were voting for bad things they would've done the right thing.

No joke, my dad actually lost some of his brain from tainted meat back in our country of origin and he never turned into an antivax asshole so I don't know what RFK's deal is.

I think the mistake people make is they assume others can't be terrified about the unknown because they aren't screaming every second of the day about it in fear. If you worry about everything you'll literally drive yourself insane.
We don’t currently know whether microplastics have an important impact on health and that is very worthy of investigation but, I have to say, this the current discourse has many hallmarks of a health panic and I am not currently worrying about it.

I didn't realize I started feeling this way until I was actively turned off the other day when a story focused game started augmenting its narrative with action gameplay.
i do not think this is necessarily a good take, just the one i have, but: the older i get, the less i care about combat. a game can have the best combat system in the world (and Expedition 33 certainly ranks among the best i’ve ever played, frankly) but idgaf!! there’s still too much combat!!

I've found in life that asking "how do I know this is true" about anything whether I agree with it or not has helped me IMMENSELY being on the internet.

Republicans and science don't work because science is all about acknowledging that as you learn more, your world view changes. Meanwhile for Republicans if you ever change your mind you're considered a coward.
