Hic / Ille. A weird mixture of interests from medieval Latin, to digital humanities and note-taking apps.
And the award for the best design and user experience in the button department of public transport comes to the trinity of buttons in Prague trams. A fun fact: if you want to get out of the tram with a baby carriage, you have to press the small black button twice.

I wonder how accurrate these replies about HTR technology are. To be honest, I find LLMs quite useful for explaining this type of information but - of course - it is difficult for me to verify.

My fascination with this inscription in Prague will never cease. I refuse to Google why the image looks so strange. :) I don’t want to shatter the magic.

I knew about "diplomatic", "semi-diplomatic" and "hyper-diplomatic" editions, but today I learned that there are also "quasi-diplomatic" transcriptions. From the presentation by David J. Birnbaum.

It is really puzzling for me to see a medieval / early humanist scholar's (Peter Luder) immatriculation as a magister but without any promotion to magister. I also cannot find anywhere that he got any degrees. Could he be immatricalated as a master without any official degree? #humanists

The most fascinating thing about this article from 2022 about AI is the picture full of CRT displays. #ai #crt www.theguardian.com/technology/2...

Fascinating. Staatsbibliothek Bamberg is using a public #zotero group for providing secondary literature to its manuscripts.

Oh, nice! Thank you! So this is more on the text block level, am I right? Is there somebody using IIIF also to deliver line by line transcriptions, e.g., to deliver transcriptions created by automatic text recognition tools like Transkribus or eScriptorium?
