My disability usually requires plain language and RSB is anything but , making it very hard to understand the bill. Im a bottom up thinker so without a proper understanding first its like trying to turn my mind inside and out and up and down and round and round. But working on it

Im concerned how regulatory standards bill will effect enabling good lives being rolled out nationwide, accessibility laws with teeth being enforced and created. Basically concerned how this bill will effect disability movement , rights and quality of life going forward

Heres an opportunity to make them see not making things accessible to begin with will cost them more time and resources to do it this way now. Especially timely considering they are repealing plain language Bill.

This is a big problem I have with Labor. They are better for disability community than national by far but Labor does still keep many of us in poverty, keep us at the bottom and throw crumbs to keep us coming back. The Greens dream seems like actually hope and life. But not realistic they be major.

Because NACT are only wanting the appearance of doing something. Getting platforms to do something would actually be doing something. IMO. Im cynical af with this govt now.

I wonder what this means about Greens. Were lots of disabled voices and survivors not being asked about their thoughts on this or did Greens realize even with those taxes it wouldnt be enough $ with all of thats needed. Just curious. Something to ponder for budget 2026

I read The Greens Budget.
One of their things was all disabled people being able to get disability funding through ACC.
Id rather a disabled led place, MSD and ACC are ableist and traumatizing and often innacessible.
Fully fund and resource Whaikaha & fully roll out enabling good lives is better.

It is weird to me that government want to ban social media for those under 16 years old because it can cause harm. But under mental health bill its perfectly ok to give under 16 year olds ECT. (I was 15 years old. They got a second opinion and still did it, I made a submission on this)

774 million for some abuse in state care survivors. (Not all goes to survivors but to admin, setting it up, programs to prevent abuse)
