An elderly Gen-Xer with a pragmatic look on life. Democrat because I'm not stupid. I like Comic Books, Stoner Rock and Lemon Pie. Also proud Cat Dad to Streaky and Karkitty.
Steph Curry beat the Spurs by himself tonight. He is incredible. The greatest of this generation.

LeBron fans face the facts... Curry is better.

I wish Wonder Woman could have saved the exploited and abused children at Mar-A-Lago and let them loose on Trump, Epstein and Maxwell.

#ReleaseTheEpsteinFiles
On a mission in Cambodia, Wonder Woman spotted a rebel base with cages of kidnapped, exploited women.

She returned that night, disarmed the men and released the women.

She told the women if they wanted to regain some dignity, the weapons were in a clearing.

Superman learns of their decision.

Laying on the couch watching the World Series and the kids (Karkitty and Streaky) are irritated that I'm not in bed yet.

One of the most horrific superhero stories I have ever read.

We saw the face of pure evil -- and it was Kid Miracleman.
Miracleman reflects on that day...

The day his nemesis waited for him in London and passed the time by inflicting cruelty, pain and death.

Flayed human skins flapped in the wind. Streets thick with bloodied, mutilated bodies.

Miracleman was the universe's savior against an omnipotent, insane god.

Mein Gott in Himmel!

How did I not know this until today??

Actress Nancy Carroll in a Hollywood photo shoot from almost 95 years ago! (Circa 1930)

Artist Dave Stevens (The Rocketeer) sure knew about it, as she was the inspiration for his Seduction of the Innocent 3-D #1 cover.

It's an absolutely craptastic day of football.

First the 49ers got crushed.

Then the afternoon televised game was a crappy Cowboys-Broncos game.

Now the late game is a Pittsburgh-Green Bay game I have no desire to watch.

If the NFL wanted to ruin my Sunday, they succeeded.

Eric Gordon of the Nuggets has ALWAYS killed the Warriors, not Joker. This is what he does.

Denver has owned Golden State for years now.

Just like the Tim Duncan Spurs dominated the Dubs, the Jokic Nuggets dominate the Curry Warriors.

I'll be surprised if we pull off a win.

I briefly met Marko 72 (DeSantis) and Tim Pagnotta in 2001 after their set at The Catalyst in Santa Cruz.

Marko was charming, friendly and funny.

Tim... let's say he wasn't Marko.

Still, I bought the CD-R they sold and got their autographs.

Start Static is still a banger. Very underappreciated.

The bad dreams stop when he puts on the mask and goes out at night...

Experience the dark and ugly underbelly of New York City during the late 1930s through the eyes of Wesley Dodds, The Sandman, and his eventual partner and lover, the modern woman Dian Belmont.

IMO, one of the '90s best series.

I finally realized who QB Baker Mayfield reminds me of these days, Gilroy/San Jose State Spartan legend and 49ers folk hero QB Jeff Garcia.

Both tough dogs with guts to spare.

My best 90s album answer is usually BELLYBUTTON or SPILT MILK by JELLYFISH, but both are universally critically acclaimed.

Next would be THE BURDEN OF BEING UPRIGHT by TRACY BONHAM, but it wasn't "defining for me".

That leaves AS GOOD AS DEAD by LOCAL H as my pick.

Every song is a fucking banger!
a poll idea that just popped into my head: since we've collectively been doing 90's nostalgia for awhile as a culture, what's your secret/stealth best 90's album? not something necessarily widely super critically beloved but is nonetheless great and defining for you?

Jake Moody just hit a last second game-winning field goal for his new team the Chicago Bears.

... As a Niners fan I've seen plenty of Jake Moody.

He's still steaming hot garbage.

In the very near future, former ICE agents are going to be viewed in public identically to how incarcerated child rapists are viewed by other prison inmates.

It certainly puts a new spin on "The Great Darkness Saga"!!

To put in print that the man in black Johnny Cash is uncool compared to Bruce Springsteen and Bob Dylan (!!??) didn't take balls-- it took a complete lack of brains.

It is the dumbest thing I've ever heard a sober person say in my life.

The editor purposely wanted the writer to get ridiculed.
Compared to Dylan and Springsteen, country-music legend Johnny Cash can seem deeply uncool. It took time for me to appreciate his profound, plainspoken strength, writes Jon Fasman.

The season premiere of #SNL was uninspired and humorless. The host was awkward and couldn't act.

The elf on Weekend Update was my highlight.

I am not a hater, I would have laughed if something was funny but nothing was.

And as someone of Mexican heritage, the Chavo sketch was a disgrace.

God damn it! These motherfucking announcers on #TNF keep talking about Mac Jones supplanting Brock Purdy as quarterback for the Niners.

Just shut the fuck up!

Purdy is our quarterback, Mac is our backup.

Period!!

Bunch of shit stirrers.
