I've always thought it disingenuous to use the argument that the rich pay most of the tax, because it illustrates the massive inequality between the rich and the majority. If ordinary people were paid more and the rich weren't so very rich, the tax burden would be more even.

On Wednesday the head of the World Health Organization, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, said a “large proportion” of Gaza’s population was starving. “I don’t know what you would call it other than mass-starvation – and it’s man-made."
