Great response by @mon4kooyong.bsky.social. A focus on the facts, not the games. Another benefit of independent MPs - they aren't political lifers, aren't there jostling for positions in a party, they are there to represent their constituents. We need more of this.

I've spoken to half a dozen LNP MPs who had no idea about the citizen 'referendum' policy Dutton is backing in who all think it is nuts - but that is not the point. None are willing to push back because party stability these days means blind obedience, not challenge.
