Cruel. Callous. Cowardly.

The public are seeing this Labour government for exactly who they are.

We all have a responsibility to make them pay at the ballot box.

Reject the hate. Reject them.

This is not who we are. Let's make hope normal again.

The Greens don’t believe providing safe refuge for endangered asylum seekers is an “out-of-control” policy.

Nor do we believe making life more difficult for those in need is the way to unify British society.

Refugees are welcome.

WARNING: Shabana Mahmood's new asylum plans will punish people who’ve already lost everything.

Instead of offering safety, political parties are locked in a race to the bottom – trying to outdo one another in cruelty towards refugees.

We can & must do better.

Given the party's refusal to act on Pochin's brazen racism, it should be as socially unacceptable to vote for Reform as it was in the early 2000s to vote for the BNP.

And we should be prepared to say this to people's faces.

@richove.bsky.social I very much enjoyed your talk in Berwick this afternoon. It was chilling to hear about the destruction of books across the centuries, but also immensely encouraging to know that people have always tried to preserve them, often at great risk to themselves.

If #Starmer thinks Reform's policies are racist and immoral, why have he and his party been aping them ever since they got into power? Too little, too late.

I am sickened by the relentless demonisation of refugees.

No refugee underfunded a school.

No refugee closed a hospital.

No refugee took away support from the sick and disabled.

We need solutions not scapegoats. Stop blaming refugees and tax the rich instead!

Depressing to start the day by seeing #Farage and his thugs spewing out their #racism. Of course one cannot expect those who support #Reform to feel compassion, but they would be wise to consider that the last time the Far Right got a stranglehold across Europe it didn't turn out well for anyone.

@phillipinman.bsky.social Your article on so-called baby boomers follows the insidious recent tradition of pitting the young against the old, and paints a massively inaccurate picture of how most old people live. Many of us are sick with worry as to how to make ends meet. #ageism

80 years ago, the US dropped an atomic bomb on Hiroshima.

We remember the thousands who were killed in a crime against humanity, as well as the survivors who carried the pain of the past.

Today, let us honour them by vowing to rid our world of nuclear weapons once and for all.

If as PM says it’s a “moral argument” surely it would make more sense to ask someone who can afford to spend $50 million on a wedding to contribute more instead of forcing future disability claimants, many of whom will already be living in poverty into deeper hardship & despair?
