you probably solved a puzzle with me in the past / you probably didn't read anything I wrote under a(nother) pseudonym.
when i am doing a mundane task (washing dishes, driving the same daily route) my mind enacts conversations or imagines scenarios, like doing a stand-up routine or giving a lecture. Is that day-dreaming? I snap back to reality for safety. Imagining my life as a Lotto winner is another state of mind.

as soon as i figure out how to DM on this thing... i think we "met" when Unfiction buddies all did NaNoWriMo together, good times. Loved "America, inc" and "Revision", btw, but i promise to be unbiased.

Maybe you aren't old enough to remember drivers during the gasoline crisis turning their cars OFF rather than idle. Pushed my car in line to the gas pump to save every drop.

i feel like this year was busier than last year, due to it being Friday night. I still had Pokemon cards and mini comics from last year, glow bracelets, and tiny toy cars which went fast. Now stuck with fun size Snickers.

Spring ahead, Fall behind, tonight we tell the clock to unwind. Getting an extra hour to sleep, i don't mind, but when the sun comes up too early it tires my mind.

surely someone has already recommened "The Ring" (i wanted like its sequel but it lacked something), and "Get Out" - Jordan Peele's "Us" was too creepy for me to even finish, but loved the use of Santa Cruz.

we had an issue with a built-in washer unit not fully spinning up, ending a cycle early and leaving towels sopping wet. Turns out that a leak dripped onto a sensor, shorting it out. Stupid design flaw, i'd say, but landlord merely says we cannot leave a load sit overnight anymore. #dripdripdrip

I'm back on! Benjamin had to muck around with the DNS after he was hit with DDoS attack. (Not that we chat much, but it just felt weird being without it)

you can be forgiven if you are under a certain age for knowing about "ancient" tech. A clerk at a copy center was stunned when I told him copier machines used to be coin-operated.

we also had a cat who lived past 19 years, but her final months were rough. It was hard to let her go, but it would have been selfish to make her stay. For years, we said we'd never have another, but a new cat came into our lives after a relative passed away. Take all the time you need.

i used to think about The Rapture a lot, devoured fiction about what it might be like. I still enjoy apocalypse movies, but without the need for religion.

Should be here any day now. Hoping the expanded section is dedicated to puzzles. Word Search would be brutal.

24 hours later and i see i had a typo. Going to bed now, again, some more.

immediately went to Steam and added to wishlist, then grabbed the Demo. But it won't load for me. Probably because it knows i should be going to be now.

I forgot to do this. I even told my team about it the day before launch, and they all forgot to do this. We're sorry. I hope you got some interesting stats out of it, totally not for blackmail purposes.

reminds me of a beta test i was part of for a puzzle hunt. I picked a sudoku out of a pile; i spent far longer than others and refused to quit. Later, the GM told me ALL of the puzzles had deliberate flaws -- the team goal was to compare sheets & find a pattern in the combined flavor texts. ugh.

it was indeed both fun and relaxing (when i had a set to myself, not competing with another user on the same page). People have convinced me a 6x6 challenge would take DECADES to complete. Could i get the 5x5 set packaged as a game on Steam, to have all to myself?

depending on the data it was trained on, the LLM probably saw enough humans making typing mistakes like that to think it's just an alternate spelling.

i'm assuming since i got the emails last year, i'm still on the list for this year. If Pumpkin Spice Swiss Miss instant cocoa being in stores now is any indication, i'm already behind in holiday planning.
