The point of age of consent is that there is no consent below that age, no matter what she says. It's child abuse and it's a crime.

No, it's the UK, the Labour government.

It's no good treating taxes on pollution as a source of income. Punitive taxes need to be just that, taxes you don't want anyone to be able to afford to pay.
But for changing behaviour, it's better to have incentives and reap the benefits from the improved economic turnover.

Workplace parking levies, free buses & trains for workers, tax breaks for cycling, mileage charges in city zones and on commuter routes in rush hour etc would be a start. Tax breaks if you live close to your work. We need transformation, so people don't own cars but rent one for specific journeys.

We need incentives to get people out of their cars for all short journeys. Long journeys by EV are already disincentivised, because of the charging en route. But what we need now is serious sticks and carrots to end the journeys under 3 miles and all commuting by car.

It seems to me that this government hasn't got the hang of tax or what it's for. Someone needs to teach them about nudging and incentives, sticks, carrots and also about values (what makes a happy cohesive society with opportunities to achieve and be proud of it).

He'd have had a landslide majority if the right wing of the party hadn't decided to undermine it, siding with the billionaire owned print media against the interests of the people of Britain and our wider reputation in the world.

Corbyn was the most popular Labour leader in a generation, and garnered more votes than Starmer or anyone else in your current cabal ever could. And the reason was that he had the policies of the Green Party and the charm of honest integrity and commitment to justice & socialism.

Two things worth fighting for in this country.

BBC and NHS

You don't know what you've got 'til it's gone, as the song goes.
