Undesirable species, lots of scar tissue, little bit uppity. Trainer apparently got a little overzealous, broke her a little too hard too early and she's not quite all there in the head. Still fine for labor or pleasure, but you'll never be able to leave her unrestrained.

I am late to the game here, but I use nappa leather over adhesive backed neoprene foam. I generally do 1/8" specifically but for some projects I do 1/4".
The adhesive backing is important because it helps keep the lining from migrating while I'm stitching.

I've been holding off on starting work out of financial responsibility since February. I thought things had settled down enough to get started. This was as far as I got before the toilet started to dump sewage into the basement this evening.

I finally hooked up the exhaust extractor and it fucking sucks. I knew going with the high-amp fan was the right call. I lit a chunk of backer paper off of my roll of foil tape on fire and put it on the cutting tray, and closed the lid.
The extractor practically inhaled the fire.
