Feeding the basilisk

Large Language Models are a cornucopia for the curious

I do computer stuff but that doesn't define me

posts are not financial advice

Sorry, I don't automatically follow back, but might if we have a thoughtful exchange
🤣

The irony? is that nano banana is a better artist than the artist

(It all runs in the browser, so don't use an API key you can't afford to put in a browser. But there's no backend service involved.)

It works, but still very rough. The agents just kind of do their own thing in a very Parliamentary-sounding manner. At least they get the tone right

(requires your own OpenRouter API key)

oooo robo-hoa I like it

I'm working on this:

I've been reluctant to go into management because it would be a disaster, but this may actually tip the scales

This is brilliant

When I was younger, I used to LOVE writing simple state machine parsers. I don't know why they brought me so much joy
December 1, 2025 at 5:42 AM
Yeah, Wild West stuff 🤣

I'll post when I get that working. Right now my agent parliament just votes and then adjourns

☝️

Excellent! That's where I'm headed next

That's a great way to frame it. Very helpful!

I'll post the link when it's working, or sort of working 🤣

BTW I'm kind of thinking the value of the coding agents is how well they keep the models on the rails, so they face the same problem, and that's why you see a variance in the value of the AI coding apps 🤷‍♂️

But I also agree with you, letting the MCP tool drive the state machine and transitions, effectively communicating "up"

I don't know. It's pretty wild
December 1, 2025 at 5:13 AM
With my little parliament framework, I think I'm going to build the state machine into the framework, and delegate the state transition decisions to the model

So the framework keeps them on the rails, but the model steers

See how that goes 🤷‍♂️ Fun as a toy problem

Many moons ago, I had a manager who came from Amazon (I've worked with lots of ex-Amazon folks, I love them, they've been some of my favorite co-workers). He said that Amazon had such a bad reputation in the Seattle market they couldn't hire anyone locally

They changed that, turned it around, but
December 1, 2025 at 5:10 AM
Oh I just say stuff

Bezos and Amazon has a tendency to go overboard with ruthless efficiency, to the point of draining any humanity away

Consider if all society were run like an Amazon warehouse. It would be extremely bleak

It's weird because they're trained on the shape of humans, but they don't have the same human cognition

All kinds of strange places that could go

Like building a giant mechanical horse with a steam engine inside

Oh yeah of course dude. You rock. Sorry that it needs to be said

And also, in any conflict, it's good to check in and ask "What am I trying to accomplish here? What is my goal?"

Let's say you to manage to humiliate and demolish anyone in this thread. When you wake up tomorrow and the Bluesky firehose has washed this interaction away, what will you be left with?
