update: blue shield not only approved all my requested procedures but approved them at *in network rates*???!
the catch ofc being that they suspiciously backdated the approval to the date of their denial instead of the date of my request, which just so happens to exclude my surgery date 😑

okay okay one more thing that annoys me in a lot of hetmantasy: why dont these women have friends?!? why are the only people they hang out with men who are sexually attracted to them?? thats weird! and not how the vast majority of straight women behave!!
tho i will say, so much hetslop romantasy concluding with “the woman uses her pivotal role in the story to uphold immoral and abusive systems of power but like theres a nice(r) guy in charge now and he loves her so its fine!” played a big role in getting me to start writing (out of pure frustration)
