Catalyze SV members gave an unusually low score of 2.75 out of 5 to the Pleasant Hills proposal that our members scored in Nov. 2024.

To see if/how the project has changed and provide input on the environmental review of it, come to this community meeting on Wednesday, October 29, from 6-8 pm.

Catalyze SV is part of the team working with the City of Campbell on its first-ever Multimodal Transportation Plan to create a safe and connected, #sustainable transportation network for people #walking, taking #transit, or riding a bike or scooter.

Congratulations to new #SanJose Councilmember Anthony Tordillos on his swearing in this week! In 2024, Catalyze SV nominated Anthony for a Government Champion Catalyzing Change Award. Anthony has also been a member of Catalyze SV for many years.

The developer's proposal desperately needs a redesign emphasizing housing density, walkability, vibrancy, and neighborhood benefits.

So Catalyze SV returned to our roots and designed our own Pleasant Hills proposal.

In 2023, the Agrihood development that the community had conceived was built! That community-led effort inspired Catalyze SV’s founding and continues to guide us today.

Do you know this story? seeing an empty parcel of land in Santa Clara, a group of community members got together in 2015 and created a proposal for the site. They called their design the Agrihood. Their efforts were so impactful that the developer Core adopted the Agrihood as its project proposal.

This Wednesday, our Project Advocacy Committee will score University Station, a proposal for a new residential neighborhood on a 10-acre site in Santa Clara. The project comprises a 5-story, 298-unit building and an additional 98 for-sale townhomes, totalling 396 units. 🧵1/2
