That's the❓on the minds of all of us tracking this Google project that Catalyze SV members scored so favorably 5 years ago.

It sucks: the land @cityofsanjose.bsky.social sold is in Google's hands forever. The City seemingly can't get it back or speed up development.
A Google spokesperson did not clearly answer questions about whether it still intends to move forward with its Downtown West development plans in San José, signaling that it is still evaluating the company’s real estate needs as a whole.

As appeared in the news last month, the biggest fundraising tool for many nonprofits, including Catalyze SV — linked as the donation page on our website for many years — was ordered by the California Attorney General @robbonta.bsky.social to cease its operations.

Catalyze SV members gave an unusually low score of 2.75 out of 5 to the Pleasant Hills proposal that our members scored in Nov. 2024.
