Ok, ok, ONE more

The original scripted ending for The Deadly Assassin, which would have ended with this BRILLIANT roller caption and they should have kept it in!

I worked incredibly hard for this, harder I think than I've ever worked for anything. But I still feel incredibly grateful that the stars aligned the way they did, because I'm very aware that there were so many steps along the way that could have caused the whole thing to derail.

I studied part time, while working full time (including every weekend for two years), achieved the degree and managed to get an Archivist job a few months later, and I love it more than I ever thought I could love a job.

In the intervening period, I became convinced that my goal was simply to be an academic. My grades were not good enough to achieve PhD funding. After going straight into an MLitt after undergrad, I was too burned out to know what to do, and ended up working in a supermarket.

I just won a battle that took me 15 attempts last time, by throwing a melon at the last enemy standing.

Having just thrown one of its compatriots at it the round previously. It's such a tonal whiplash but it's great.
