The internet has become people’s first port of call when it comes to interacting with fandoms at large, why would you go to conventions, buy merch or even recommend the show to people if you’re instantly treated like crap for enjoying the show?

I don't mean to be dramatic but I genuinely think this is one of the main issues that is helping the Star Trek fandom slowly die down in size

I don't even like Discovery personally but I don't spew shit about it everywhere because why spend so much energy on something you don't like, much less something that makes other people happy anyways??

I am genuinely curious as to why this is such a rampant issue in the Star Trek fandom specifically, not a single other fandom I've been in has consistently acted like this it's absolutely bizarre.

As a trans person myself, im very disappointed that Fortnite would collab with anything JKR has made.
