Collective Shout, which is run by people who get published by Spinifex, a very terf-seeming organization, apparently needed 1,000 people to yell at visa to get this done.

if, or when, we manage to get through this visa/itch/whatever debacle the next person that tries to get me to decry a stranger ive never interacted with for their weird kinks is getting something taken from their house
now remember, if someone gets up in your face like "HEY, will YOU decry this person for their weird kinks!?!?" you don't even have to say "no." you can just be silent. or mute them. or just go about your business. you're not *obliged.*

i wrote a doc explaining why it's important that you call Visa / Mastercard and how to make your complaint as effective as possible (script included) rentry.co/visa-masterc...
for a campaign to succeed, it needs a high volume of legitimate Visa / MC users voicing their opposition to these policies.

The fandom and everyone else are learning how to deal with ai as it's happening in real time. There are growing pains to this.
No one should feel like they have to have 1000 cameras on them watching every line they draw.
