You say 12. I can only see 10 and recognise 8 of them. Embarrassingly the one in the foreground is one of them, the other is hanging from the rafters.

Only real issue is cost. To be effective in a high intensity conflict you would need a fleet of these, at least 15 per mission, so probably 10 times that number. With reduced payload, drop tanks and precision munitions, you could turn these into strategic medium bombers.

Numbers are about right for that class of drone. Ceiling too high for most tactical air defence. Armed with the ability to program and launch range extended guide bombs and the ability to triangulate AD radar, this could be an interesting tactical bomber or not so close support aircraft.

Well I guess I won't be able to visit my MAGA relatives in the US now. What a loss.

Not really. Donald had AG Bondi make another safe space for her inside the DOJ.

The problem under those circumstances remains is globalisation. The concentration of manufacturing or distribution into the hands of a small number of companies. Makes everything less resilient should any of them fail.

Actually they are talking Great Depression levels. The thing that was solved by Keynesian economics which this current GOP is doing away with. Problem is that reverting to Keynesian economics to fix this will substantially increase the deficit.

As an older person looking in from the outside: the long term trend has not been good. The leadership of the DNC often seem to be as out of touch with the people as the GOP.

And following on from there: A shout out to the poor guy (non gender specific) from HMRC - standing forlornly on the beach holding a soggy clipboard.

Thanks for the Harry Belafonte earworm.

Karelian was on the list but I ran out of characters. Japan also get Sakhalin back and Spain gets to keep Florida.

Give Alaska back to Russia. King Charles gets Crimea back, Germany gets Kaliningrad, France gets Louisianna and Montana. Mexico gets California, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas back. Spain gets Puerto Rica and Guam, The Dutch get Manhattan back. Turkey gets Iraq, Iran, Syria, Lebanon and Israel back

Engineers mate Marx On Yo solved the oil leak problem by splicing the oil pump output directly into the fuel line. On the plus side fuel consumption is down. On the downside so is the power output. The chief engineer says the whining noise reminds him of his wife - it will be fine.

Probably running on Russian diesel. I wonder how much of it comes pre-burned.

It's more fun if something round-ish comes out the front it.

Since Trump has ordered an investigation into all persons listed in the files, I am pretty sure they will be release with all identifying information redacted. We will know what happened but we will not know by whom and to whom.
November 18, 2025 at 12:52 PM
Since the DOJ are now investigating every person named in those files (with the exception DJT), the files will be released with every bit of identifying information redacted.

There is not enough margin to encourage investors to do so.

Tariffs alone won't work. There is little to no incentive to move production to the US. There is limited to no access to cheap capital, cheap energy and cheap labour. There are no subsidies available. The construction, manufacturing and plant required are also imported and therefore tariffed.

Question for an outsider. Does a new house built in the US last 50 years?

If you want a work truck you get an F250 or higher. An F150 is for the "an SUV is a mom-mobile" market.

In 2027 Donald Trump abandons the West Wing for the still to be completed ballroom, having run out space in the Oval for all his cheap gilded nicknacks.

The late Prof Schuddeboom who, apart from forcing me to learn shorthand to take his lecture notes, taught students both Mathematics and road safety on Howard College campus. He was a menace on the pathways between buildings on his very ancient Vespa.
