I look forward to a world where men feel less comfortable stating on LinkedIn that we need more data on how female and male brains differ before we can correct for bias in AI and LLMs 🙄

It is nuts that Amazon and Ring are automatically rolling out this Search Party feature to review your outdoor footage using AI, without your permission. It’s automatic unless you opt out.

Is anyone else like this? Or am I the only person who fills out company feedback/research surveys and tells them they need to improve the survey itself

If you live in California, have you returned your Prop 50 ballot yet?

Yes on redistricting!

The @politico.com exposé on Young Republican state leaders shows they are comfortable typing racist and anti-Semitic words because they have heard the most powerful people in the world say: it's ok. Lack of moderation in social settings doesn't mean hate dies in the sunlight. It means hate blooms.

Great reporting by @jcubanski.bsky.social on BMS/Pfizer's new cash price for blood thinner Rx Eliquis.

You can get it for $10 if you have commercial insurance using a coupon, but not if you have Medicare/Medicaid or uninsured.

The cash price is now $346 - compared with avg $76 internationally.

@nytimes.com has not posted about it on social media and their online coverage acts like it's business as usual. Thank god we have @nbcnews.com doing actual reporting

Spoiler alert: Henry the Clickup chatbot never answered the question.

All startup founders and tech workers: do not use clickup.

I had so much data in it that stayed on, but I need to just pay the $12 to export my data and say goodbye forever. Not worth the rage-fueled blood pressure spikes

It's frustrating that AI chatbots like ChatGPT are always offering to do things that they cannot in fact do, like create a custom google map

should i have told it to try harder?

No it’s called Logic Games. I just like the block game which you have to play to earn points to solve the logic stories. Now I only do the block game

TY - this is a critical investigation. Why is FEMA refusing to do testing when the Times investigation shows remaining contamination is higher than the federal standard, not just CA?

Children who play outside are most at risk. This is unacceptable.

Thank you for highlighting how LAFD union leadership is milking overtime rules to enrich themselves. They should be focused on the needs of the avg firefighter, not making themselves rich off the backs of taxpayers.

A city worker should not be making nearly $1M!

I am not Catholic, but mourn the loss of Pope Francis. I was heartened by this message from my Catholic high school

Pope Francis prayed for peace throughout the world: "There can be no peace without freedom of religion, freedom of thought, freedom of expression and respect for the views of others."

#Housing types considered for Santa Monica. My preference is to vote for workforce housing, artist housing, senior housing, persons with disabilities and unhoused. Not market rate. And to vote for D, the proposal with the most housing.

But curious what others think before I vote.

$1,349.02 list price of Wegovy (ozempic for weight loss) exemplifies what is wrong with American Rx pricing

The net price paid after rebates & discounts is $649 in the US, versus ~$300-400 internationally aspe.hhs.gov/sites/defaul...
