Lancer RPG fan. Let's chat.
Explaining to my partner: "I need to move the cat so it can bury the seeds so that when I move the sheep in there they become different sheep that produce plastic and that much more sustainable than making it out of oil"

This year Pride feels more important than ever. I'm glad I have a company that supports Pride and supports my team as we try to keep its principles throughout the year. Happy Pride everyone! ❤️ #pride2025 #oxfordpride

Unqualified people say that something that has been extensively researched by qualified scientists is bad...

...the fact we are even giving press time to this bullshit is an insult to intelligence.

Since IWD2025 and International women in science day I've been reflecting on the "women stay, men leave" trend I've learned from female leaders

My best pay increases and promotions have been from moving / being convinced to stay.

Does this impact the number of female leaders? Thoughts appreciated.

Trump threatening 200% tariffs on alcohol makes me laugh a little too hard. Americans will buy less and the companies will recover their losses with better deals for us in Europe to buy more. I'll drink to that (single malt Scottish whiskey). No more bourbon for me.

Just found out @mindcharity.bsky.social has made the essential vote with their feet and joined us in the Blue.

I've benefited from the content this charity has produced and signal boosted it into the companies I've served on awareness days.

Follow them. Engage with them. Let's rebuild networks.

One of my friends walked into a meeting this morning where they were told to source potential non-US supply lines for everything they needed.

Rising costs from tariffs may see US businesses crumble over the next few years and people want backups in place.

This could be great news for the EU.

Trump threatening to make even more things expensive for his own country like a toddler threatening to soil his next pair of shorts. He realises that other countries trade with each other right?

Bella is stretching up in the garden to get the sun. Looking majestic as usual.

The sun decided to turn up today in South Oxfordshire and launched me into a full spring clean and a desire to me outside

Time to start my garden plans for this year with early seeds and cleaning out containers

I hope you are all enjoying this glorious day

Trump just issued an executive order defunding public schools that accommodate transgender students.

Teachers will be banned from referring to a transgender student by their desired name or pronouns. If they do not comply, their budgets can be defunded.

Trump has repeatedly threatened to defund schools accused of teaching critical race theory.

We are going to need to call out a lot of the far rights bullshit in the next few years and there's no reducing how many mportant it will be to do so...

...but also take the time to also share what you love on here. That thing you crafted, that silly idea or joke, your passions and causes...

My players in #LancerRPG have voted to go to the Hope City league. A place where gambling, extreme sports and risk taking is almost a religion. Their first arena will be based on the Penny Shove machines I grew up around on the coast.

It's engines hot tomorrow 🔥🚀

Living with bad lungs can be awful. Thanks to breathing in just a little smoke from cooking I have lost 4 hours of sleep and I have been forcibly pulling breath all day & getting exhausted by small walks.

I managed to present one sustainability lecture this morning which I was not going to miss.

When I'm working out there's a milestone that I have dubbed the "fuckit" and I can judge the state of my body that day by how many fuckits appear. In the case of fuckits per kilometre (Fi/km). My SI application is on hold because I only had one today but it was a BIG one. Still a win in the end!
