Maybe it was out of rage or pent up anger for something that doesn’t seem justified enough and he made a calculated hit. Or maybe less conflicting but angst filled it was impulsive and he was immediately filled with regret. Maybe it contributed to more using and/or his (un/intentional) overdose.

I just don’t understand what they want media to look like. Why do they want no conflict? How is the plot supposed to move forward? How is there going to be any tension or character development? If everyone is supposed to be 100% one way all the time every story would be boring and lack development
