A 1979 Woods down sleeping bag. My parents were not outdoorsy at all, but when they realized they had a teenager who was, they invested in this gift that has reliably served me since then.

I always liked taking photomicrographs of Giardia trophs. They always seem like they are looking back at me. The structure that looks like an eye pupil is the nucleus, and the circular structure surrounding it is actually the disc that helps the little fella attach to one's intestine. Good times.
