2025 home ownership update: also a new refrigerator and a new front door.
2024 also included a new hot water heater & water softener. But 2025 is starting with solar panels (finally!) being installed along with the Level 2 car charger we should have installed back in 2023 when we bought the electric car. We'll be driving on sunshine!
Homeownership means new HVAC (2021), 2 new sliding patio doors (2023), and a new roof (2024). What's next?

I love my library cards but why do the books I've had on hold for months all become available within a few days of one another. Just had to throw one book back with "deliver later" because I can't read that fast.
Completed my trifecta of Pennsylvania library cards: State College/Centre County, Philadelphia, & Pittsburgh/Allegheny County. Picked up the Pittsburgh card this afternoon. PSA for my Pennsylvania peeps: any Pennsylvania resident can get Philadelphia and Pittsburgh library cards for free!! 📚

I love my library cards but why do the books I've had on hold for months all become available within a few days of one another. Just had to throw one book back with "deliver later" because I can't read that fast.
We're getting a new refrigerator delivered this afternoon & we just did an archeological dig on all the stuff stuck on the old refrigerator: menus for restaurants that don't exist, minor league baseball & college hockey schedules for seasons long past, out of date bus route schedules, etc.

We're leaving Aspen tomorrow after 2 weeks and one last adventure planned for this afternoon. In addition to the beautiful scenery and blue skies, I'm going to miss the **free**, frequent bus service that we've been using extensively.

I've been in Aspen for a week and I generally feel fine but my Fitbit tells me that my SpO2 levels are down and my resting heart rate is up compared to at home. Altitude effects are real.

My passport/passport card and I are ready to fly! Still no Real ID driver's license but that's ok.

Today's accomplishment -- found the train tickets from last months trip to Italy stashed in my jacket pocket so I can get reimbursed. Past me had my back and hadn't thrown them away!
